Essential skills in basic dog training. A practical and theoretical course in all aspects of basic dog training in a class environment. People skills are critical to imparting good information as they are the conduit to the dog. How to organise and manage many people and their dogs whilst training to a successful standard is what this module is about. We supply a number of adult dogs and their handlers for this course. We also include dog handling and training skills.
Ross works as a Canine Behaviour Practitioner & trainer. He runs the London Dog Behaviour Company. He also works at the Canine and Feline Behaviour Centre in Hertfordshire. Ross works with private clients training throughout London. He is a full member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers and the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association of Great Britain, a master trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers and is a member of the Kennel Club Accredited Instructor Scheme (KCAI).
Ross contributes to a number of British Pet magazines and Newspapers including 'Our Dogs' and the 'Our Dogs Annual' and is a feature writer for 'Dogs Monthly' magazine often examining complex human/canine relationships.
Ross is also director of communications for the Canine & Feline Behaviour Association of Great Britain and a Canine Temperament Assessor for the charity Pets as Therapy as well as various social services family placement teams. Ross is a tutor and lecturer with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour & Training (CIDBT).
