Ross McCarthy works as a full-time frontline Canine Behaviour Practitioner & Trainer. He works with private clients throughout London and Hertfordshire consulting in all aspects of problematic canine behaviour. He also has developed Critical Behaviour Training courses for dogs who exhibit severe behavioural problems. He is a full member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers and the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association of Great Britain, a master trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers and is a member of the Kennel Club Accredited Instructor Scheme (KCAI).

Ross is a tutor and lecturer with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour & Training and is also their director of course development. He is a Canine Temperament Assessor for the charity Pets as Therapy as well as social services family placement teams. Ross contributes to a number of British Pet magazines and Newspapers including ‘Your Dog’, 'Our Dogs Annual', ‘Dog Training Weekly’ and is a feature writer for 'Dogs Monthly' magazine often examining complex human/canine relationships.

This film is in association with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour & Training (CIDBT) for delegates of the institute studying as a part of their course(s). Whilst this film may contain solutions to behavioural problems, the main purpose is to demonstrate to candidates real life, frontline canine behaviour practice. This DVD can be purchased by pet owners who wish to resolve behavioural problems though some solutions are left for the students to solve.

Sue Armstrong, who is featured throughout this educational DVD kindly agreed to be filmed along with her Border Collie, Charlie for the benefit of CIDBT students and Canine Behaviour Practitioners of the future. We follow her interesting story as she embarks on reforming Charlie's behaviour on this two DVD discs title.
